Krav Maga

If anyone’s been looking for a great way to stay in shape and develop their self-defense ability as well, I’d recommend looking into Krav Maga. It’s something I’ve recently taken up, and what makes it so cool is that it’s NOT a martial art. Not that there’s anything wrong with martial arts, but Krav Maga takes you straight to the heart of the matter; allowing you to develop skills that can save your life in a number of ways.

It’s also NOT a sport. It’s not what you see on TV with people rolling all over the ground and referees standing above them. There are no “points” or scoring systems in Krav Maga; it’s designed so you can escape with your life were you to come into contact with someone who wants to harm you. To put it in perspective, it’s the same self-defense system the FBI, armed services, and many local law enforcement agencies teach. For anyone looking to get in shape AND learn how to defend themselves in a violent encounter, I’d definitely recommend checking it out.
